Increase Website Traffic: Key Tips

This article is going to talk about how to increase traffic to your blog, website or articles. It is a method that I have just discovered and it is helping me earn a lot more page views which equal to a lot more earnings. Having traffic come in to your site(s) are important if you want to make money online. Which is why I think this article needs to be written. I hope you will learn a few things on how to make the most out of the articles or content you create on the sites you work on. This is what I have learned so far:

1. Bookmark your articles/content using Redgage. Redgage is basically a site where you can post articles, pictures, videos and of course, links from other websites. Redgage actually encourages you to post your on article or blog links on the site. The best part about posting on Redgage, is that you can actually make money from them as well. You can post your links at Redgage and they will pay your for the views and you will earn more traffic to the article your bookmarked. So it is a win/win situation.

2. Bookmark your links on twitter. Twitter, though I have my problems with it, is a great site to post the links to your blog posts or articles. It takes a matter of seconds to post and if you have a lot of followers you will have a higher chance of earning more traffic. Millions of people use twitter and hundreds are joining everyday. So if you want an easy and quick way to earn a backlink I suggest you sign-up for a Twitter account.

3. Post related articles/content from OTHER sites. This is very important in earning a backlink and increasing your search engine traffic. For example, if you write for two article sites (say eHow and Bukisa) and you write 4 articles on each site. That's a total of 8 good, well-written and interesting articles. Than, you should post a link to a related article on Bukisa to an article on Ehow. It's far better to post article links on different sites because that will earn your articles a solid backlink. It's good to write related articles on the same site (write an Ehow article, than post a related Ehow article in the resource section) but you should really post them on different sites.

4. Post an affiliate link, if related. Sometimes you may not earn what you wanted in pageviews or earnings from the article you wrote. That is why an affiliate link can help compensate for it if you are smart with it. Maybe you wrote an article on how to decorate your bedroom, you could post an affiliate link to some cool decoration ideas. The viewer might buy it which will earn you a nice commission.

How to Connect your Online Business

I have been 'working' online for a few months now and I really love it. I get to pick my own hours and work wherever and whenever I please. I don't have to worry about a boss giving me orders and I can 'quit' anytime. Throughout these few months I have discovered several ways to make money online. Some of them have been better than others but I have learned a lot from each. I believe that if you want to make money online you have to work smart. I mostly write to make money online and I write for several different sites. As of now, I discovered that I need to really have my 'business' be a whole and not separated. I need to have my articles be interconnected with each other in order to maximize my earnings. How do I do that?

Well, the key is to posting links from one site to the other. That includes my author homepage or even related articles that can compliment the article I am writing about. Another think I must keep in mind is the help of bookmarking articles. It can help with backlinks which will increase your earnings and page views significantly. As of now, I am bookmarking with RedGage and Twitter. I Redgage because I can make money just from bookmarking articles and I use twitter because it is one of the most popular social networking tools right now.

If you can really connect your business and make it a whole you can really see some better earnings. It really divides the people who work hard and who work smart. You want to be the one who works smart (and I do to). It is no point of writing an article which has no backlinks or anything else that can connect it to another part of your business. If you write an article about making money online you can put a link to your twitter account or another related article.

Monthly Income Report: January 2010

I know that it has been a while since I started one of these but I have been really this past few months and have not had time to assess my online work. But, it will be done this month and I hope I will learn from the many mistakes that I have had. I have made several changes to how I work and what I do online and off. Some of them have helped me through a lot and some have not. So, I think I will assess what I have done this month, show you my earnings and then say some ideas I will do for the future.

In the month of December I happened to be on of the unlucky persons to be shut out of the Google Adsense account. So I can no longer make money online using the famous google adsense. I was pretty mad at first but I looked at my earnings and discovered I really wasn't making anything from Adsense anyway. I also can focus more on a few sites to make money rather than several. I will no longer write for sites like Infobarrel because you can only make money through Adsense. I think the adsense shutdown has helped me in getting more focused on a few sites rather than several.

Another crazy thing that happened in the past few months was the launch of eHow's UK site. That site has caused more trouble for us American eHow earnings than ever before. In January, several earners and writers of ehow saw there earnings decrease day after day. People began writing more and more in the forums and soon Rich (one of the community managers) finally wrote what was happening. Basically,eHow was taking out U.S. articles and posting them on the UK site, that sounds good right? Wrong! Because the thing they did not mention was that people clicking on ads on the UK version of your article did not earn you money. So they were taking our articles which have been making us and eHow money for years and not paying us when they posted them on the UK site. People began to protest until eHow got there act together, they soon took all the U.S. articles off the UK site. And, soon we might even get paid (or hopefully reimbursed) for having articles on the UK site.

I started working on triond and squidoo this month as well. I only made a whopping .67 cents but I think I may need to do a bit more research on triond to see what really makes money from it. That goes the same for Squidoo because I have not worked on anything like it before. I want to increase my earnings on sites like eHow and Bukisa before I start on any other site though. I did posts a few articles and Squidoo lenses just to get an idea of each site. But I will do more research and write fro each of them exclusively as my earnings increase.

If you have been following my blog for a bit you may have noticed that I changed it a lot. I have a new wordpress them for it and I think it works better and looks a bit more professional than my basic blogspot ugly blue background. I hope this will attract more visitors and keep them on the site for longer. I think I am becoming more satisfied with the look for the blog but it still may change as my knowledge increases.

Another thing I really started getting into was Amazon Associates. I really promoted amazon links a lot this month to see how I did. I may need to do a lot more research on how to place and where to place an Amazon link so I can really maximize my profit on the site. But anyways, here is my earnings for January:

eHow: $84.93
Triond: $0.67
Bukisa: $6.23
Amazon: $4.50
Regage: 9.33 (total)

Total: $105.66

Not much but I think I need to make a lot of changes this month if I want to increase my earnings. Theproblem that I have had ever since I started was having a game plan before I got to 'work.' If I don't have one tend to get lazy and never get anything accomplished. That is why I have become organized when I start working online. My goals are very specific and it is not in terms of money. Instead, I plan on working in terms of tasks. That will give me something to do every day when I get up and go to the computer. On the weekdays, I plan on writing 2 articles a day on eHow and Bukisa. And, I will also bookmark 5 posts on sites like redgage. Along with that, I need to finish reposting the articles on site like Xomba and Infobarrel to sites like Triond or Bukisa because I can't earn from Adsense. But I will only do that on the weekends. I will also be doing some work on the weekends. That will also include 2 articles a day and 10 bookmarks because I have more time on my hands. So:

Weekdays: 2 articles a day, 5 bookmarks a day
Weekends: 2 articles a day, 10 bookmarks a day

This should keep me on a schedule and really help me focus on the 'work' that I have to do rather than the money. If I do the work I really automatically see the money come in. It is simple as that and I should see some improvements in how I work.

Hope this helps you in making money online. Good Luck. I'll try to keep you posted.
